Experience
60 combined years of product development experience. Expertise in rapid concept generation, 3D CAD sculpting, and design for manufacture.
Markets include consumer goods, electronics, housewares, hardware, medical devices, industrial goods, surgical devices, and transportation.
Specialization in sports and fitness equipment, outdoor products, and bicycles, utilizing advanced computer software and carbon composites.
Expertise
While designing product for over 150 brands, we've learned how to successfully integrate with product development workflows at companies of all shapes and sizes. We'll play as large or small a role as you need, working alongside your marketing, engineering, and manufacturing resources.
Design Tools
Fluent in advanced surface modeling and concept visualization in 2D and 3D. Experts in digital sketching on Wacom hardware. Expertise in class-A surfacing with
Alias Studio; experience blending sculptural surface models (Alias) with engineering CAD (Solidworks) to create complex assemblies not possible with either tool alone.

Why does it matter that we've worked in so many fields? Because we love cross-pollinating technologies, materials, and ideas across different industries to create breakthrough product innovations. Like using carbon fiber in luggage, and vapor deposition on sports equipment. Variety breeds creativity.

Named on hundreds of patents and 10 international design awards including an IDEA award, two Medical Design Excellence Awards, two Consumer Electronics
Show awards including Best of CES, and 4 Eurobike Gold Awards. Niner Air 9 Carbon named one of the 25 most important bicycles ever designed.
Materials & Processes
Experience with most plastics and molding technologies (injection, blow, roto, gas-assist, vacuum), most metals and metal processes including hydroforming
and thixoformed magnesium, composites, fiberglass, sewn goods, and rapid prototyping technologies. Specialization in carbon fiber composites.

Who are we? A couple of guys who created this firm to pursue work we're passionate about, with dedication and personal integrity.
Industrial designers, weekend athletes, and all-around decent guys Doug Golenz and Bill Stephens teamed up with over 50 combined years of professional design experience, then added other like-minded, talented individuals who share the same drive, positivity, and commitment to excellence.
